“For many of you this is your first exposure to our convention. NakamaCon was from its first conception to be a convention that literally means “A circle of friends”. The focus is to meet new people, expand your fannish base and have fun. In Wisconsin there are several conventions, but none of them cater to the specific fandoms we wanted to. So starting in 2010 Madison Wisconsin will have a convention that will be an Anime / Anthropomorphic / Steam Punk event. The best part is since we are centrally located states like Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota are all just a little ways away.”

[It is set on] a 35 acre ‘village’ (larger than most area shopping malls) within a 167 acre site. The Festival runs 8 consecutive weekends and Memorial Day Monday each spring.”
