We list all cons.
Short definition: a “con” is short for “convention”.
Long Definition: By “cons” we mean any event where it’s a temporary fun place for fun people to do fun things. So, if you were looking for the “Annual Rocket Science and Brain Surgery Conference” (not to be confused by the exact same event held in the 8th dimension by the Banzai Institute), you are at the wrong place – otherwise, please stay tuned…
The “Calendar” lists all of the cons in the entire universe (as we find them). The “Upcoming Events” section will list thing that are about to happen very shortly. For really popular events, by the time they show up in this section, they may be already sold out! So if you see something you like, search in advance and register for the event, hotel (if applicable) and airfare (if applicable)…
If you know of a con that is not listed, please use the contact form and send us a link to web page of the con! You do not need to be the organizer of the con to submit links. Thanks!
The goal of To Serve Fan is to be the comprehensive list of all cons. People have tried to create lists of cons before and even the best of them eventually give up. So why is this different?
(a) Instead of an individual effort to keep the list current, we have a group of dedicated people (the “Database Babes”) who like punishment… er, fun, the fun of posting cons.
(b) This format will keep historical information of past cons for informational purposes with comments from specific cons so you can use past comments to decide if you should go to a con you have not been to before. (Future – as well as ask for info, pics, etc. from past attendees.)
(c) Instead of a dull list of cons, user posts will be available so people can post their opinion – politely please! You may do constructive criticism but flaming will not be allowed! By “constructive”, we mean how to improve what you think is a deficiency in the con. Any flames, trolls, spam, etc. in the comments will be deleted by the moderators.
This is new, so please be patient as we get the kinks out!
